I have been working for 13 years in the Khan Palace of Bakhchisaray - or, to be more precise, in The Bakhchisaray Historical & Cultural Preserve which is responsible for preservation of historical heritage in South West Crimea like the Khan Palace, medieval cave towns on the tops of mountain ranges, Scythian mounds in steppes, prehistoric sites in rocky gorges and more than 700 other historical monuments.
My position in the Preserve is Deputy Director for Science. I am in charge of planning research work of our institution, organizing scientific conferences, working out concepts of new museums, establishing contacts with scientists and many other duties. One of my most important tasks is the long-term nomination process preceding the future including of the Palace into the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
